Match Report
It was another superb turnout at Chartham Park, with 30 members turning up to play our fourth outing of the year on a course that was in fabulous condition and in glorious sunshine - which made it play different as we normally play this course in Autumn. Thank you all again for your support and attendance. It really does make for a great day.
So on to the golf. The shorts were out, many sported the Foresters branded polo’s (so we were looking good!), and we also saw some decent golf and close scoring. There were many in the high 30’s, and we saw 3 on 37, 2 on 38, 4 on 39. So, a close field. However, the winner of the superb Graham Thomson Bowl by only one shot and his first win was Richard Levett with a fabulous 41 points, just pipping Runner Up Charlie Wycherely who was leader in the club house for some time with a very good score of 40 points, followed by Peter Gossage in 3rd Place on count back with 39, just pipping 3 others with 39. Well played and well done to you all.
Nearest the Pins went to one of our new members Richard Walsh on the 3rd and Peter Gossage on the 17th (to go along with his 3rd Place). Well done to you both.
Oh, I nearly forgot!......and winner of our new ‘Wooden Spoon’ award (although it is actually a decent bronze golfer statue) kindly provided by Pete Russell went to our Captain Gordon Sims.
This sees another 5 different winners this year and the trophies/prizes being spread amongst all members which is brilliant to see.
The food was fabulous once again, and all in all, it was another fantastic day out.
Thanks, as always, to all of you for your support and enthusiasm. It’s really appreciated.
