Match Report

Sadly, I couldn't make this one as I was sunning myself in Mykonos, so I handed the reigns over to our Captain, Graham Boniface, who kindly organised the day in my absence - a big thank you Graham.  

There were 24 of you that headed off to Horsham golf course last Thursday to compete for the Graham Thompson Bowl. Graham advises me that everything went well, although the stress of organising everything on the day did affect his relaxation on the course a little. Sorry mate! A big thank you as always to everyone that turned up for your continued commitment and support which makes for a great day for everyone. Always appreciated. Thank you all.

 It was the first time the society had visited Horsham and the feedback I have received from many of you was that although it was a little challenging on some holes and finding the start of the fairways off of some of the tees, it was still very enjoyable.

 There were at least 3 players that clearly didn’t find it that tough as the well-deserved Winner of the Graham Thompson Bowl with a very impressive 40pts was Bruce Allman…well done Bruce. Runner Up was Paul Gasson with 38pts, and in 3rd Place was Richard Levett with 37pts. Well played and well done to all of you.   

 Nearest the Pin also went to Bruce on the 8th and Russ Little on the 13th. Well done to you both. 

All in all, the feedback was that it was a thoroughly enjoyable day (for most!).
